This past week, we didn't have a lot of "Jammie Preschool." But we did some fun things.
Maia discovered this thing at the playground. It's basically a "Sit-N-Spin" but slightly off the ground. Lots of dizzy fun.
We did some activities about the body this week. Maia is really close to writing her own name. She knows how to spell it but is starting to write her letters. (She also knows my phone number, area code and all. She just started spouting it off one day. Do I really repeat my phone number THAT many times? I guess you do when you're new in the area.)
We talked about "all the time foods" (aka good for you foods) and "sometimes foods" (aka taste good but shouldn't have all the time). We placed pictures of the "all the time foods" IN the body and the "sometimes foods" OUTSIDE the body. I had fun quizzing Maia which foods belonged where. To Maia, cookies are an "all the time food." (I almost agreed.) Salad is a "never ever food." "I don't like it," she tells me.
We finally finished coloring in her body. She wanted me to help. She told me what to do. One black hand, one yellow hand, purple stripes, brown hair, flowers on the pants, etc. She wanted to do the brown flower on the shirt along with some other details.
I think we'll be working on zoo animals this week. She likes the animals. As a matter of fact, let us introduce you to Maia's newest crib member: "Peach" the white Easter bunny. A sweet gift from Grandpa and Lainie. Maia didn't even have to think about the name. It was obvious that her white bunny was "Peach."

She is so beautiful Emily! What a cutie! I love how she spelled her name. What a smart girl! Hope you guys are doing well! Your little Heidi is just adorable too!
Such a great idea about the food . . . I' doing that this week! I can't believe she can almost write her name. Jackson still can't do a straightline or a circle. I guess those fine motor skills aren't his strongest point :) YET!
