Spring is in bloom and here is the proof:
I am loving the springtime blossoms! (I'm grateful that I don't have allergies.) I've been thinking about the "Poppcorn Popping" primary song when I see these pretty trees of all diff. colors of blossoms. I decided to make some of our own "colored blossoms" and do a little craft.
We made some Jell-O popcorn. Very pretty and yummy. And then we made our own springtime trees. Maia decided she wanted to do this craft without her shirt on this time.
The blue thing on the right of her tree is a beehive and there are yellow bees on it. Maia is very creative.
Even though the sun is shining a tiny bit more, it is still cold. Joe stopped at Dunkin' Donuts one morning for a research project and grabbed a cup of hot chocolate. He highly recommended it so Maia and I stopped and checked it out ourselves. Joe was right. It is really good! Better than Starbucks by far- but that's not saying much. I don't like Starbucks hot chocolate.
We did some foot prints (Heidi on the left, Maia on the right)
And hand prints for Mother's Day. This was a present to myself.
Maia likes to help me cook so we baked my favorite chocolate chip cookies one afternoon between projects.
This week we learned about primary colors and color mixing. Maia loved this one.
We also strung some Froot Loops on some yarn. Maia's necklace didn't quite fit so she made a crown instead.
