Last Saturday, December 6, we went to Roger’s Gardens up in Newport Beach. We wanted to go because we have never been there and we also wanted Maia (and ourselves) to experience something Christmasy in California. I love the holidays. I love the Christmas season. I love going places and seeing them all lit up and decorated and hearing the Christmas music play. Roger’s Gardens was all that! It was so much fun.
At Roger's Gardens they have a lot of decorated trees. There were trees that were decorated in all gold ornaments, one in silver, another in red and another in white. They all had names to them. We found a baby boy tree and another “Pretty in Pink” baby tree. We thought it was so appropriate that they had a tree with all baby girl pink ornaments since it was Maia’s first Christmas. You can buy the ornaments right off the tree. We bought a pink block that has the letters B-A-B-Y on the sides. We thought it was special to remember our super fun time at Roger's Gardens and to remember Maia's first Christmas.

Oh my goodness, that picture is precious! She did much better than Eli did with Santa. I'll have to post so you can see, lol. :) And what a fun memory for her first Christmas. I'm with you on all the fun decorated stuff with Christmas music playing -- I can't get enough of it! :)
Maia's picture with Santa is way cute!
she is so adorable! love her.
Oh that is the cutest ever!! I love it! And on a side note, I just barely recognized that the picutre of you wearing yellow gloves is from Back to the Future. I couldn't figure it out for the longest time. I thought you were a really odd looking chicken.
That is quite possibly the best baby on Santa's lap picture in history. I am dying over her expression!!!!
So cute! I can't believe how smiley she was on Santa's lap. I still don't think Autumn has ever sat on Santa's lap. She's very skeptical about Santa and I have to say I don't blame her. I don't think kids should have to go sit on some strange man's lap and tell him secrets in exchange for candy or the promise of a present. Something about that isn't right. Don't we teach our kids that this is NEVER okay every other day of the year?
Also, that is one huge tree! Joe looks normal size next to it, lol.
It looks like you guys have been having too much fun!! I can't believe that Maia is able to each cheerios already! AH! that is so awesome! It is so fun to see them grow and learn to do stuff. How did introducing food go? emma is four months old next week and I have been getting mixed recommendations on when to start rice cereal, etc. Anyway, your family is too cute! When are you coming to Utah so we can eat Bombay house?!
