February
February has been a fun month for us. Here are some of the major events that have taken place so far:
February 3-5 Morin Family Reunion at Disneyland: The first two days were beautiful! The new Toy Story Ride in CA Adventures was a hoot! It is a 'must ride'.
February 5 Joe and I celebrate our 4th anniversary (at Disneyland): We were lucky to ride It's a Small World the day it re-opened! It is so cute! They had a special "Annual Passholders" thing going on but it didn't matter because they opened it up to everyone when it started raining. We decided to head home when it started pouring. We spent our anniversary at home with some amazing Thai soup and a movie. Don't worry, we went to the Jazz Kitchen in Downtown Disney the night before as a pre-anniversary dinner. I LOVE the Jazz Kitchen.
I must mention that cousin Olivia didn't meet us at the park that day because she was at the hospital. The night before she was sleep crawling (yes, sleep crawling) in the hotel bed and fell off. She broke her collar bone when she landed on the hard floor. (Now you can read below and see what kind of genes run in the fam.)
February 14 Valentine's Day: Maia says, well, rather yells "dadda" for the first time. Yeah, that's about it. She yells dadda. We also went on a walk to the beach in the morning and then Joe and I had a candlelight salmon dinner at home in the evening and watched a movie and ate ice cream. It was a great Valentine's Day.
We also got to celebrate the night before. Amy was kind to offer her babysitting services so we went to the theater and watched "He's Just Not That In To You" and had In-N-Out shakes after. We are movie people. Thanks Amy!
February 15: Maia talks in her sleep for the first time. I heard Maia yelling "dadda" in the middle of the night thinking she had gotten up and started playing in her crib. I go in to see why she is awake and I find her in her normal sleeping position with eyes closed. We learned that night that she is a Morin sleeper.

Wait for it... "DADDA!"
Maia's kisses and animal sounds.
