This is one of Maia's 3 month pictures. (She's super excited to be 3 months.) She is chunking up a little in her face and on her thighs. She is now consuming 6 oz. bottles in comparison to 4-5 oz. bottles. She still has her dark hair and big blue eyes and looks like Mini Joe. This picture was taken August 20, 2008 (exactly 3 months).

California Roll
Little Maia-moos is rolling all over the place. She has been rolling for a while now but just figured out how to get her arm out from underneath her this week. She will get frustrated once in a while but will keep rolling in order to master the skill. This video was taken August 28, 2008.

First Trip to Disneyland
We went to Disneyland with Emily's family on Tuesday August 12, 2008. Maia did really well at the park! Surprisingly well, actually. She didn't cry very much and she loved her carrier (Even though she looks mildly uncomfortable in all the pictures). She had breakfast with the characters and she got to ride the Winnie the Pooh ride, the Disneyland train, the Pirate Ship, and Splash Mountain. You should see the expression on her face in the picture we bought. Priceless!!

We Surrender
Well, we resisted the blogging movement as long as we could. You see, a good blog requires that you live an exciting life where you do fun things that can be chronicled and retold to an interested audience. A good blog requires that you have special talent in telling stories; talent that makes even the most mundane and boring activities seem like a page out of an action-adventure novel. A good blog requires that you achieve things that are noteworthy or easy to brag to the world about. A good blog requires intelligence and a firm grasp of proper grammar and speling. Let's be clear about one thing ... this is not a good blog. Emily and I fought blogging tooth and nail for this very reason. We resisted the urge to blog the same way that you would resist the urge to fart in church. However, we have come to the painful realization that sometimes you just have to fart ... err ... blog.
"Why did you cave?" you ask. "Why did you go against one of your most precious and treasured morals?" Because we are sick and tired of promising to send you people new pictures of our beautiful baby girl and then lying to your face by not following through on our commitment! We can't sleep at night. Food doesn't taste the same. Our own reflections in the mirror give us judgemental looks as we brush our teeth at night. The time has come to put things right and free ourselves of this aweful guilt. That way if you haven't seen the latest, greatest pictures of Maia it's your own darn fault and we can sleep easy at night (that is, when Maia decides to let us actually sleep). That being said, let's lay down some ground rules:
1. This blog is all about more pictures and less talky-talky (starting just as soon as we get through this introduction). C'mon, you don't want to hear what we have to say anway. Heck, most of the time we don't even want to hear what we have to say.
2. See rule no. 1.
3. No nudity. (Emily stipulates "I can't promise that." I don't know what she has planned for future posts. I'm kind of nervous.)
So, without further ado, we give you the Morin clan blog. Enjoy!
